1. What services does MindStreams offer?

   MindStreams offers a wide variety of FREE services for students seeking assistance in furthering their education. Our services include one on one assistance from a professional Education Consultant who will provide information on our University partners, degree programs of interest, online instruction as well as the application, admissions and registration process of each University. We will also order your official transcripts at our expense and in most cases waive the University application fees. Our services are established to help streamline your transition back to school and provide any support you may need to help keep you motivated to complete your educational goals.

2. Why does MindStreams offer these services?

   Our mission is to offer as many support services necessary to help simplify the process of going back to school. This can be an overwhelming task for busy working adults but with MindStreams FREE support services, we can help streamline this process so you can better prepare yourself to start school.

4. How much does MindStreams Support Services cost?

   There is never a fee for students to utilize MindStreams services. Our only requirement would be that you enroll into one of the degree programs offered through our University partners.

Finding Courses and Degrees

5. How do I start the process of pursuing online education?

   Many times student either put off or never pursue their education goals because they simply don’t know where to start. If you are motivated to go back to school, we recommend contacting one of our MindStreams Consultants first. They will ask questions regarding your needs and goals, provide you information on your University options, then guide you through the process of applying, registering and starting school.

6. How do I find a listing of all the degrees you offer?

   Simply click on the “Online Degrees” tab at the top of the home page. This will prompt you to the wide variety of degrees MindStreams offers through its University partners.

7. Do you offer Teacher Licensure programs?

   MindStreams does offer a selection of Bachelor and Masters Teacher Licensure programs. Please refer to the Online Degree link located on the home page or contact a MindStreams Consultant for more information on these programs.

8. Are these degree programs Accredited?

   All Associate, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees offered through our University partners are Regionally Accredited through the Higher Learning Commission.

Admissions

9. How do I enroll into one of your degree programs?

   Your first step should be to contact one of our MindStreams Consultants and let them know what degree you are seeking. If you are unsure of what degree to pursue, we can ask you a few questions that will help us recommend the appropriate degree for you. Once you have chosen a university and a degree program, your MindStreams Consultant will guide you through the process of enrolling, registering and starting school.

10. Are there additional fees other than tuition?

    Each University has additional fees for students attending their school. In most cases these fees can either be covered by Financial Aid or are not due until the end of the degree program. Please contact a MindStreams Consultant for information on additional fees that may be required.

11. Can I transfer college credits to the Universities you work with?

    Yes. All of our Universities accept transfer credits from other Regionally Accredited Universities. How many and what credits qualify for transfer will need to be determined by an evaluation from the University. Please contact a MindStreams Consultant for information on how to begin this process.

12. How do I order my college transcripts?

    If you are planning to transfer credits into another University, you will need to provide them with an official copy of your transcripts. MindStreams can help facilitate this process by ordering those transcripts for you, at our expense. We will order all transcripts from previous colleges and make sure they are sent to the appropriate University. It is part of FREE services MindStreams offers to all our students.

13. What is the tuition for Online Courses?

    Tuition and fees vary for each University. Contact a MindStreams consultant for tuition rates and the variety of Financial Aid and Student Loan options to pay for school.

Financial Aid

14. Does MindStreams offer Financial Aid?

    MindStreams does not offer financial aid, but our MindStreams Education Consultants can provide you information on the Federal and University grant and student loan programs available to students.

15. How do I know if I qualify for Financial Aid?

    Most students qualify for some type of financial assistance for school. To find out if you qualify you can either contact a MindStreams Consultant who can inform you of your options or you can start by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov and filling out the federal financial aid application.

16. How do I find scholarship opportunities that I can apply for?

    There are several websites you can research. We recommend contacting a MindStreams Consultant for this information as well as University scholarships that may be available to students who use our services.

Online Education

17. How do I know if Online classes are right for me?

    Online courses are a very good option for those students who don’t have time to go to a campus. The flexibility of online courses allow students to do their coursework on their time, without having to commit to being at a campus the same time each week. Online courses, however are not for everyone. If you have never used a computer or if you are someone who prefers face to face instruction, attending courses at a campus may be a better option. We recommend contacting a MindStreams Consultant so they may get a better feel for what option may be best for you.

18. What type of computer do I need to take Online classes?

    Our Universities only require that you have a computer with Microsoft Office programs and a high speed Internet connection.

19. How long are Online classes?

    Our Universities offer four or eight week long classes. A MindStreams Consultant can help you determine which online format may be right for you.

20. How credible are Online Degrees?

    There have been numerous studies that have proven that students earning an Online degree have equal or better retention of what they have learned as well as equal or better knowledge of the content they have studied. Online degrees are fast becoming the most preferred learning format for working adults.
